Phil Ashby is a TV producer/director who has made film, tape and live broadcast programmes for BBC TV and C4. As an independent, he now works as a DV director/editor, with a production system based on a ‘Final Cut Pro' suite. In addition to his production and editing roles, Phil is a frequent contributor to online technical advice forums, and an experienced trainer of newcomers to video production. |  |

Brief for Session Video production fundamentals from shooting to editing giving an insight into how to: • plan • improvise • cope with common problems on location • put together a simple edit suite (based on Apple Mac/Final Cut Pro) and how to keep it running. • use the edit suite to organise a project ……….. and of course the production fundamentals of editing - keeping on top of the mixture of technology and aesthetics that is a digital edit! |
