Her work as an actor led to a growing interest in the development of story within film, and this in turn led to collaboration with filmmakers in the South west. She is currently working with award winners' Mark Jenkin and Ester May Campbell on their respective feature projects. Kate has associations with SouthWest Screen as a member of their Script Editors Bank and is currently a script editor on their ‘Digital Shorts' project. She sits on the award panel for Picture This Moving Image Small Wonders Bursary award and is developing a slate of work with her partner, Adrian Bailey, a professional writer.
